CAll for Papers

The Fischell Department of Bioengineering at the A. James Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, is proud to host the 26th Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference!

We are seeking papers from academia, industry and/or clinical settings with a focus on theory, application or techniques relevant to any facet of biomedical engineering. Attendance and paper presentation by individuals from throughout the U.S. and around the world is encouraged and welcomed.

We are also seeking exhibitors and session organizers!

Student Paper Competition

Students, including undergraduate, graduate and those in professional programs, are invited to submit abstracts to be considered for presentation and a student best paper award. Students will have the opportunity to indicate if they wish to be included in the student paper competition when registering for the conference. Additional details about the competition are forthcoming.

Abstract Preparation & Submission

Detailed instructions and deadlines for preparation of abstracts and manuscripts, including a template for manuscripts, can be found on the Paper Submission page. Format and deadlines will be strictly enforced based on requirements imposed by the publisher.

Accepted papers will be published on a CD by Springer as part of the IFMBE Proceedings series. The CD will be provided to authors and conference attendees.

Deadline to submit 300 word (maximum) abstract: 15 January 2010
Notification of acceptance: 5 February 2010
Deadline to submit final paper manuscript: 26 February 2010
