Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program

HOW TO APPLY FOR SUMMER 2009

Applications are no longer being accepted for Summer 2009.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

Step 1: Apply Online

All applicants must complete the the online application form.

All portions of the application, including letters of recommendation, must be completed and submitted by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (USA) on March 6, 2009.

Step 2: E-Mail Supporting Documents

Please e-mail the following items to reu@umd.edu:

  1. A one page resume
  2. A one page statement of purpose
  3. An unofficial transcript

All documents should be submitted in Word or PDF format as an attachment to a single e-mail.  Please name each file with your full name as well as document type (example: Jane-Smith-resume.pdf).

Step 3: Recommendation Letters

Please have two letters of recommendation e-mailed by the recommenders to reu@umd.edu.

Step 4: If You Are Accepted

Upon preliminary acceptance into the REU Program, an official transcript will be requested and letters of recommendation will be verified.  Final acceptance into the REU Program will be contingent upon the verification of these documents.

Applications to the 2009 REU Program will be accepted from January 16, 2009 through March 6, 2009.
