Fisher to Discuss Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials at Smithsonian Institution

Fischell Department of Bioengineering (BioE) professor John Fisher will be part of panel of materials experts at a public seminar presented by the Smithsonian Institution on January 27.

“Going to Extremes: The Protective Powers of High-Tech Materials” will show guests how new materials are being engineered to withstand some of the most extreme and challenging environments, including combat, space, and even the human body. Fisher will discuss his work with tissue engineering and biocompatible materials.

The seminar will be held Monday, January 27, from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at the S. Dillon Ripley Center in Washington, D.C. For more information and tickets, visit the Smithsonian Associates web site.
