Fischell Department of Bioengineering Assistant Professor Yu Chen has received a Research Support Award from the university's General Research Board. The award comes in the form of funding for research materials, equipment, and other expenses.
Created in 1957, the General Research Board provides summer salaries, financial support for research, and assistance with publication-related costs such as securing permissions for illustrations. The GRB's goal is to "encourage promising young faculty members as well as established scholars" in their research by offsetting costs to both professors and their departments.
