The Professional Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and Graduate Certificate in Bioengineering programs, administered by the Office of Advanced Engineering Education, provide a strong, flexible, highly focused, and highly analytical education. Courses are available on-campus and online for full-time or part-time study.

The Graduate Certificate Program is offered as a post-master's or post-doctoral option.

To learn more about these programs, please visit the Office of Advanced Engineering Education web site:

Please note that the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Bioengineering is not recommended for applicants who may wish to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering. Students who wish to pursue a Ph.D. in Bioengineering at the University of Maryland must apply to the Ph.D. program. Ph.D. and M.Eng. admissions are separate, as each program is housed in a different department.
